Organizations funded in the previous grant cycle need to fulfill the reporting requirements. A 6-month interim report (to show progress) and a final report (impact of grant and financial accountability) need to be submitted.  Click here to obtain the form.

  • Production of PZP vaccine, an effective non-lethal contraceptive for wildlife populations (including deer and wild horses)

University of California, Davis; School of Veterinary Medicine

  • Center for Comparative Medicine
    • Mouse behavioral research, for the welfare of mice, and to fill the need for behavioral phenotyping of genetically altered mice
  • Shelter Medicine Program
    • Behavior outreach education to shelter veterinarians, shelter personnel, rescue personnel and the public
    • Website development – unique resource for vets, shelter professionals, volunteers and rescue workers which has become a widely recognized authoritative resource on topics in shelter medicine, including management of infectious diseases, vaccinations, care and cleaning, and providing news to the world of shelter medicine
  • Veterinary Medicine Teaching & Research Center
    • Mad Cow disease - development of PCR-based assays for detection and identification of ruminant-derived products in commercial cattle feed concentrates and feed additives 
  • Mercer Veterinary Clinic for the Homeless
    • a 501(c)(3) all volunteer veterinary student organization which offers monthly clinics with the assistance of local veterinarians and instructors  to the animals of the homeless in the Sacramento area.
    • Spay/neuter program

University of Minnesota; College of Veterinary Medicine, Minneapolis, MN

Valley Animal Center (formerly California Feline Foundation), Fresno, CA

  • Subsidizing spay/neuter, supplies and other costs for low-income pet owners and feral caregivers
  • Testing for FIV and leukemia

Yellowstone Park Foundation, Bozeman, MT

  • Study of migratory movements of the Yellowstone Pronghorn Antelope
  • Wolverine population study
